Thanks to all who put up with me. Often at times, I think our ideals get the best of us and we often like to see them evinced in the things around us. Then again, when you see something that goes against what is social norm (what is normal?) then do you do anything about it?

I hate feeling frustrated and battling feelings of what I know and what I feel. I don't know if sometimes things built up over time and things that I brush off just get amplified when I feel some strain on life. My life is relatively good. I don't know if I'm just the one that messes things up and make things even worse. It's funny how sometimes you think you can't relate to certain songs but I think I really relate to "My Stupid Mouth" by John Mayer. Not that I try to say things to be funny and offend people, but more on the side of things where I get over sensitive or over analytical and my expectations of people, expectations on society gets me all worked up. And then of course, I get offended and more often than not, probably offend those around me and then get emotionally constipated all at once and I just bottle it all up until an unfortunate individual comes along and gets it from me.

Then again, I guess you pick up and try again and try not to screw things up. Or you just get these indelible walls that come up between you and people and life goes on superficially.

This is written by a friend who is an amazing writer:

listen
do you hear the sound of human hearts
breaking

try to feel
the void created as the stars die out
linger

think of me
when sun sets into the horizon
ponder

hope still
the clouds break up to give a glimpse of heaven
crying

- r.L. (Sorry I printed this ... I thot i should share this with the world)

I miss Calvin. He's partying it up in Salt Lake City w/ his soon to be wife.
Although i do enjoy driving the Jetta that he couldn't fit in his suitcase.

So, another week has almost past and I have no progress at all on my thesis. It's time to get my rear into gear. Thesis: it is not a paper nor is it a project based on your own ideas; rather, it is the journey through intellectual hell to climb a mountain of intellectual breakthrough and not fall back down. In other words, it's basically to see how well one can pull things out of your butt and have people in history back you up and sell it to your professor.

Movie thots: Once upon a time in Mexico: if you like guitar and guns, go for it. And of course, if you like Latino culture, it definitely rocks. and if you're a person that doesn't like to suspend their disbelief, don't watch it.

I hope it's winter soon. It's getting hot again.

sooo hot... so tired...

Why is it humid again? I thought the summer was over. Well, I was kinda expecting this from Montreal. It gets cool, it gets cold, then it gets searing hot again. I bet you anytime that it will probably like snow the next day or something.
Global warming. I guess this is it huh?

Life. Too short to waste it.

I don't know why I'm doing architecture.
Why am I here?
Why am I taking precious air?
Why am I occupying someone's spot in the school of architecture when someone else who actually wants to be an architect should be where I am?

Today is my day of presentation of my thesis and stuff that has changed. Man, has that ever been a headache. Little do my profs know that I find a site, gathered data, and churned out two relatively decent looking A1 Panels within 48 hours. Needless to say, I think there will be comments about the 'effectiveness' of that. :p For those of you who have know idea how paper sizes work, neither do I. But I do know that two A1's equal 1 A0 size which is approximately 36"X44" (thats the maximum size on our plotter.) Why do you want to know and why do you care? I don't.

I must blog on the event of my first all nighter for the semester. THis is mainly my fault for being such a slacker over the summer (well, not really) and a bad attentive ear. I had no idea the presentation panels were due today at 5 pm (basically, there is no time to finish anything) and to really think about my thesis.. well, I'm not so sure. Anyway, tis life and I had my computer crash on me causing me to lose a lot of my work but hey, i guess i can always do a better site model (which turned out to be really flat)

well 6:13 am and i can actually see the sky getting brighter. I am supposed to be at school in like 4 hours.
better get cracking. I think my productivity slows down with the lack of sleep.

Looks like a caffeine day.

Saw more stars this weekend and also went spelunking. For those of you who don't know what spelunking is , it isn't when you throw a rock into the water and it makes the 'spelunk' sound; instead, it involves the exploration of caves formed (in our case, remants of glaciers long melted) underground with passages that could cause instant claustrophobia. So imagine 12 Chinese people all stuck in a EXTREMELY NARROW passage where I wished being 8 again were an asset, and trying to go through where certain rock formations (As so eloquently put by J.Kan) would castrate a man if not careful. Needless to say, after much screaming and yelling (in a very enclosed space), I was glad to get out of there especially having to have passed gas about 10 times. Thank goodness they were LAP farts (Loud and Proud) as opposed to N. Seto's SBD's (silent but deadly) . I don't know what was going through my head when I decided to go and venture into that passage. Must have been peer pressure and the fact that I had to be manly and not chicken out. Besides, when would you ever go into a narrow space other than a ventilation shaft on an infiltration mission to save the world?

Besides that, I was completely exhausted because I had to carry joe's pack which had everyone's stuff in it which included cameras and about 6 bottles of 750 mL of water which contributed 12 -15 extra pounds on my back excluding all the other stuff that Joe had in his pack (Joe had a bad back). Of course, I had to keep it dry for fear of electrocution and damaging people's cameras. So, of course, at one point where the ceiling was so low and the water level was pretty high, I had to submerse myself into the water to preserve the absence of water in Joe's pack. Needless to say, everyone emerged relatively dry and I, well, pretty wet. Good thing I wore my paint covered McGill school of architecture shirt.

Finally in my new home.... It's amazing how much stuff I've accumulated in the past 6 years and how much people are willing to steal... i mean, take from me my plates and dishes. I did leave a mess for my super who will probably lose the remaining of his hair before he goes on vacation.

Now time for thesis
