I wonder if I could be a lot more - or maybe as I realize that i'm not where I want to be, that i realize I could never attain what I want in this life until I die. In the meantime, I still can't sit around and not do anything. Here is now, and now will go. Are you who you want to be?

how do you not give into hate in this world? How can you not teach hate when people are getting their heads chopped off because of a war instigated by pride?

How do you see the beauty of God in all of this?

Do you ever watch the people that pass you by and wonder what their houses are like? Do they keep a picture of Someone on the little bedside stand? Or do they have kids that keep them up late at night? Do they not want to be at home because someone is always screaming obscenities and words that cut like a knife? Or is it their place of retreat where masterpieces of art are created out of the hugs that he/she gives every night to the small children that live there.

Maybe it will change the way we view the world if we begin to think that people are a result of where they come from. A step towards empathy perhaps will give us a greater perspective in a chance for grace for ourselves and for this world.

Maybe then, we can really laugh again without any strings attached.

It's almost ironic how as society progresses in its economy and technology, we slowly begin to overshadow the importance of spirituality and spirituality is only a quick fix or an anachronism that we glance upon to be nostalgic - we release from our memories the importance of spirituality as a way of living. As this church slowly disappears into the urban concrete jungle that overwhelms its presence as a spiritual gathering place, it slowly becomes a part of the economy that fuels the society that grows around it.

To all the friends that have visited me every single weekend since the end of July: I love you guys.

But i need to say that I am going to have some great alone time now. PHEW :) I hope all of you enjoyed NYC. But don't worry, i am not eating Jackson Hole for a very very long time. Eating a burger which could fit into the torpedo tube of a nuclear sub and clog it has taken its toll on me.
