Thank you to the people who have subscribed to highspeed internet and have not guarded it. I am mooching off some person's internet in my new living room. I'm currently living with two middle eastern guys. One guy Shuzli is from Egypt but parties a lot so no one is really around. The other guy is really nice and works at Meryl lynch as an intern. The dishes are never done and I think I'll do them at some point even though i haven't technically eaten here yet. My room is pretty tiny but not as tiny as I'd thought it'd be. I finally got some bed sheets today for like 15 bux USD. (Equivalent to one hour's wages in NY) and I worked for 9 hours today so it wasn't so bad.
I need to congratulate mr. Calvin Wan and Mrs. Karen Wan for finally getting hitched and moving on to their new life in Minnesota. Calvin if you are reading this, I love you and miss you terribly. Karen, I love you too and please don't let Calvin starve. Take out is a phone call away. Montreal folks: come visit when you have time. There's space in my closet of a room for one (or two if you are small and take up less space) and space in the living room provided you don't all come at once.

Work: Work is not as exciting as I'd like to tell you but it's ok. I'm trying to keep an open mind about things and seeing if I can learn anything.

New York: People are very angry here. It's a vicious cycle. you piss off one person, you get pissed off that they're pissed off and pissed off that they got so pissed and then you piss them off. Then everyone's pissed. Looking for a church though so going to church hop this sunday.
did I mention I saw human feces in the subway?

It's 11am EST and I'm finally in the Big Apple. Never did I think I would end up here but it's always funny how things turn out. The Boss is out of the office and i'm slowly doing my work so i can appear busy. MSN is currently downloading but I highly doubt I will be able to use it. This keyboard that I'm typing on says 'quiet key' as a product title but it is far from quiet. It still makes the loud keyboard noises that one can hear from like outside the door.
I highly doubt that my autocad skills are to the point of where I can sound like I'm typing. AH well. Apartment signing today. I really hope it will all work out being Canadian and all. It's such a hassle.
Oh well, I have a visa that allows me to work here for like a year.

One more weekend in Canada.(For the next little while)

So recap of the last several weeks:
1) California is PHENOMENAL!!! After my last post, the sun came out and made everything oh so pretty. The drive up to San Jose to see my man Ivor was amazing. Jasper, I went by Santa Barbara and wondered what in the world you were thinking to leave the gorgeous beaches and blue skies for the blistering winds of winter in Montreal. Ah yes, I remember, you met me! (no gay innuendos there. Seriously. Just brotherly love man so don't flip out. I can just see you laughing your laugh right now.). Ate lots of Korean food in California for some reason but it was good. Got to see the CTI crew: Cindy, Bert, Cam and Pete Hwang. Justis no longer classifies as a CTI crew but is now my man after spending an extended period of time again with him, I feel like a part of me is missing like my more musical half. I am still jealous that he gets paid to do ministry in music and surf and work out every week and go hiking in the Santa Monica Mountains. I am however, not jealous of the fact that he has to drive hours everyday to commute to work and fight traffic on the highway. Friggin' ridiculous. I usually don't like to emphasize my sentences with words that resemble profanity but LA traffic is horrendous. It was 12 AM and there was still traffic on the highway. That's what happens when urban planners don't think before they build and don't do anything about it. I also got to see Susanna who is pretty happy in LA living the american life of living at home and having student loans. She's studying @ Pasedena City College, arming herself with an arsenal of latin languages and becoming super proficient in them. And of course, she was her generous self, taking me out all the time. It was great. Thanks SUSANNA!
2) I found a place in NYC to live in (PRAISE GOD! seriously) and will be moving in the last week of June (i.e. the 28th) and will be there at least till the end of August. so lemme know if any of you punks are coming out. Hopefully things will work out and all but I'm sure they will. I am officially leaving the 514 Area code but will be visiting from time to time. Samaritan's Purse application awaits to be reviewed.
3) I am officially non-chinese. Once again, my dark skin and non-asian features led a fellow chinese girl (from taiwan) to think that I was of spanish decent or a mix of different ethnic backgrounds. Jason P. has officially changed my name to Jonathan Hernandez and still insists I'm Filipino. Let the sun keep on shining.

I'm sitting in the office of evergreen Baptist Church waiting for Justis to finish his work. Cali isn't as sunny as it appears to be. Ah well. I love suburbanism. NOT!
Oh, new topic soon to be written about: 4th generation Asians who are older than me but speak nothing but English. Very strange concept to me.

Does anyone know of a subletter in NYC? I need to stay there... I think. We'll see if this works out.
Life in transition.... carry on.
