I believe there are two ways to respond to pain.
1) we make ourselves victim to life and make ourselves believe that nothing ever good comes out of life and miss the amazing things that remind us things are beautiful. We forget about the things that were once beautiful in our lives.

2) we see our pain as a catalyst to open our eyes to things that are beautiful and to see beauty in the pain. It makes us see the things that will be waiting if we choose.
Nothing says it better than the Cross of Jesus Christ. Divinity took on humanity's pain to make it beautiful. This is your life, are you who you want to be.

this is your choice. This is your life.

Like we've just talked about:
life: response to grace / grace: response to life

That's great Jon. Refuse to think like a victim! Christ probably was the ultimate victim, but he never saw it that way.
